Oh My!

I love to share what I have learned in the art of scrapbooking and paper crafts.

Things Are Changing

We all go through these times I know, but why does it have to be so difficult?  Mom has been living on her own, so to speak, for a long time.  Thanks to my wonderful sister, she has lived in the same house that I grew up in.  Susan has gone every week to take care of Mom and watch over her.  Now it's time for things to change and it is very difficult to do.  So far my vacation has been spent dividing and packing up my mother's "treasures".  We each got some of her angel figurines to remind us of her and the rest someone else will treasure  I'm sure.  Doing this means that I don't have time to create as I would like so I am sharing another video for your enjoyment.  The rest of this week I'll be scrapping away so be ready!

National Scrapbooking Month

Just when I think I can't possibly love any other paper more, Close To My Heart surprises me once again!  The new campaign for National Scrapbooking Month runs from April 17th - May 31st.  For every $35 ordered from the Spring/Summer Idea Book, you can buy this beautiful paper pack for just $5.00!  Order $70 and you can receive two paper packs for just $10.00.  I won't be around much in the next few days.  I'm going to create beautiful pages and projects with this paper pack.  While you're waiting to see what I come up with, just watch the video Christine made to showcase this adorable paper pack.

Spring is in the Air!

Here in New Hampshire we have even had a taste of summer last month.  It was brief, but I loved every minute of it.  I have been busy scrapping my cruise from 2011, making cards for my card workshop, and working on items for our school's auction.  Pictures to come!  The following video will show you how to add some spring to your cards or layouts!  Enjoy.

SNOW DAY!

It's snowing here in New Hampshire!  It might not be a big thing for some of you, but to those of us in the school system it's BIG!  Snow days are free days.  I don't plan to do anything at home when I'm working, so I get to do what I want today!  That means I get to go down in my scrapbook corner and play!

While I was enjoying my coffee and my warm poppyseed muffin, I watched the latest video on Studio J from Close to My Heart.  Take a few minutes and watch it!  Enjoy.

Christmas is in the air!

Today was a day spent baking Christmas cookies for my cookie swap and bringing the tree down from the attic to be decorated by our grandchildren.

As you can see, they put all the decorations at eye level and I was busy making the cookies so the branches haven't been shaped correctly yet.  It is fun to watch how excited they get putting up the decorations.  Even if it is on a 4 foot tree.

We have so much to be thankful for during this wonderful season.  Both of our boys are stateside.  No deployments yet.  We have nine beautiful grandchildren.  And....... God sent his only begotten son that we might have everlasting life.

I'll have Christmas card pictures to share soon.  Those are next on my list!

Lots of Excitement Today!
Today is my husband's birthday and now it is also the birthday of our youngest grandson.  Cody Grant Lewis.  What a wonderful birthday present for my husband.  He kept telling us this little guy was going to be born on his birthday.  We are so blessed.  I have not been posting nearly enough, but I have been scrapping so that's a plus.  I'll start sharing tomorrow after I get some good pictures of my layouts.  Spent yesterday with a group of ladies just scrapping and talking.  It was a wonderful day.

Until I can post something of my own, please enjoy the following video from Close To My Heart.

Have a wonderful weekend!  We are having beautiful weather here in New Hampshire!

Back To School!
I have been MIA as I've been busy getting ready for the new school year and then starting the new school year.  It's been another wonderful start and I'm looking forward to the year.  I promise to post more!

Since I'm unable to think of much to say today, I'll leave you with another video of our wonderful Art Philosphy Cricut Cartridge.  This time it's about flowers and how to make your pages pop using the AP cartridge!   Enjoy.
